This page explains where your information goes when you use Sunlight Planner.

Browser calculations
Coordinates, dimensions, solar positions and daily intervals are processed in your browser. The tool does not call a map, address-search or cloud modelling service. It does not require an account.
What is saved
Your current model, date, time and units are kept temporarily in this tab’s session and history so you can read a guide and return to your work. This is separate from Save locally and does not create or overwrite a permanent saved model. Your browser may restore this temporary state when restoring a browsing session. Save locally creates a lasting snapshot; Load saved restores it, and Delete local save removes that snapshot. Clearing browser data can remove both kinds of state. The language preference is also remembered. Download JSON for a portable copy.
Files and share links
PNG, CSV and JSON exports can contain your location and model information. A share link stores the scene in its URL fragment, which is not sent in the normal HTTP request. Recipients and browser extensions may still read it. Share only information you intend them to see.
Website requests and statistics
The host receives ordinary requests for pages and assets, including connection information. Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you allow it. It receives the page path without query strings, URL fragments, referrer, coordinates, model dimensions or filenames. No advertising features are enabled.
Optional device location
Location is requested only when you press Use device location. Your browser asks for permission and may rely on operating-system or external location services under their own policies. You can enter coordinates instead or revoke permission in browser settings.
Optional audience analytics
Allow Google Analytics to count page visits? Coordinates, model details, URL parameters and referrers are excluded. You can change this choice here.
