Check your model outdoors and export a useful result
Make a repeatable observation, correct the model, and keep the date, time zone and assumptions with every export.
Record a specific point and instant
Choose an accessible ground point you can find again. Record local date, clock time and time zone, then note whether it is in direct sun or shade and what appears to block the sun. Avoid staring at the sun. Do not assume a cloudy observation tells you whether a modelled obstacle is correctly placed.
Correct inputs before changing conclusions
Open the same date and local instant in the planner. Check the UTC offset, geographic north, obstacle dimensions and point location. If the model is wrong, change the input that explains the discrepancy, then check another time. Do not move objects merely to force agreement with one observation; that can conceal a wrong time zone or orientation.
Keep the editable model
Download model creates JSON with coordinates, time zone, date, point and obstacles. Import checks the format and a 128 KB size limit. A local save is convenient for your next visit in the same browser but is not a cloud backup. Download a copy before clearing browsing data or changing devices.
Choose the right result format
PNG captures the actual current view and adds report context and model limitations. CSV lists daily state intervals with ISO timestamps, UTC offsets and elapsed durations. The direct-sun total is a 5-minute geometric estimate, not recorded sunshine. JSON is the editable input model; neither PNG nor CSV replaces it.
Share deliberately
A share link contains the scene in its fragment, including coordinates and obstacle sizes. It restores the model for someone who opens it, but it is not private merely because no cloud account was created. Send only a location and model you intend the recipient to see. For a sensitive site, share an illustrative model instead and label it clearly.
